Another year begins, let’s make healthy, happy grins!

With the festive season coming to a end, we feel full of good grub and have nothing left to spend.
All the crash diets start appear because we want to look good and summers nearly here.
But do the fad diets work and last for the year, or do they make us feel anxious and crave all the beer?
If we crash diet our bodies are under stress, our gut and metabolism don’t like it and can make our hormones a mess
We need to remember to keep our organs and bones healthy and to do this you don’t have to be super wealthy
We should all know how much energy our bodies need, give it plants, protein and fats but simply don’t over feed!
By knowing how much energy you need to survive and move each day, you can work out what extras you could easily take away
Or you could add in some fun exercise, then you might not have to give up all the pies
It is very much true what our grandmas would say, ‘darling you should have everything in moderation each day’
If the extra blubber makes you feel crappy then you must reduce what you eat to help you feel happy
Work out how much fuel you need in a day by putting your info into a calorie counter and it will say!
The more you education on food you get, the more freedom you are given to have fun and not fret
So, as you go set your goals for this year, don’t let the fad crash diets give you the fear
Do the calculations and planning you need to stop you feeling crappy but remember life is to be enjoyed and to be happy
